Laura se quedó embarazada una semana después de conocer a Rubén, estando muy ciega de amor y de droga. Seis meses después de que naciera su hijo, Mario, ya se estaban separando y no precisamente de buen rollo. Un libro expedido en el registro civil dice que son una familia; sin embargo, Laura se hace cargo casi sola del niño. Lo hace con amor inmenso, fe, chispa y alegría, aunque a veces no tenga más ideas o herramientas para hacerse cargo de sí misma.
