دور الأحداث في قريتين، إحداهما اسمها (الكرم) والأخرى (العلالي)، ولكل قرية حكايتها الخاصة ومع ذلك تلتقيان في الكثير من الأحداث الدرامية، حيث تجمع بينهما حكاية مشتركة، وتحضر البيئة القروية من خلال تفاصيل عن حياة الفلاحين وعاداتهم وتقاليدهم وحتى نظرتهم لمسائل مصيرية في الحياة كالعلاقات الأسرية والعاطفية.
