تنشأ الشابة صحاري في بيئة بدوية، وتحاول المزج بين حياتها الحضرية وتعلمها، وبين عاداتها وتقاليدها البدوية الاحتماعية، وتتعقد الخلافات بين القبيلتين ويدخل الثأر بينهما فتجد صحارى نفسها زوجة مغصوبة لجلمود. وتتطور الأحداث لتعود وتتركه بعد تجدد الثأر وتدخّل أفراد آخرين من الأسرتين.
